Tree Adoption: One Tree, A Million Lives

Our forests are shrinking. The rapid conversion of forests for other uses, fires, and exploitation continue to erode the trees that have long sustained life. Yet forests are more than just stretches of green—they are sources of water, clean air, food, medicine, and home to millions of living creatures. Without forests, we lose our future.

Amid these threats, there are communities who faithfully protect the forests with ancestral wisdom. They plant, care for, and safeguard the forests, not only for today but also for future generations. This struggle has now been recognized by the state through the Social Forestry scheme, which grants management rights to indigenous communities, village forests, and community forest groups so that forests remain sustainable.

Tree Adoption is a space for all of us to take part. By adopting a tree in social forestry areas, we support the communities who guard the forests. The funds collected are used for forest protection, strengthening the livelihoods of forest guardians, and supporting social activities that keep villages thriving.
